InterContinental Marseille - Hotel Dieu - FRANCE

InterContinental Marseille - Hotel Dieu is perfectly located overlooking the Vieux Port, right beside the oldest district in Marseille known as the Panier. The hotel is housed in a listed historical monument dating back to the 18th century and boasts a really beautiful terrace, where you can rest after a busy day admiring the Vieux Port. Nearby the Calanques must be seen! Marseille is the vibrant Mediterranean's capital of Provence.

The hotel has 172 rooms and 22 suites in all, 72 with a view of the Vieux Port and 33 with private terrace. Entrusted to Jean-Philippe Nuel, a world reference in interior design, the rooms are decorated in a style that exalts the history of the building.

Les Fenêtres is decorated in a traditional brasserie style with banquettes and tables offering an intimate atmosphere. It will cater for up to 80 guests. The imaginative design using glass and mirrors underlines the stylish, harmonious overall aspect. The Mediterranean cuisine is, of course, de rigueur! However, all visitors, both local and international are catered for, with a well designed menu providing a large range of choices.

Located on the first floor of the hotel, the Bar's history is expressed by the reproduction of an 18th century painting depicting the Bay of Marseille. The style is contemporary; the atmosphere is achieved by the use of blue seats, blue being traditionally the colour of Marseille. The Bar and the Brasserie extend onto an outdoor terrace and have the advantage of a unique view over the Vieux-Port and Notre-Dame de la Garde.

The fitness area is a haven of light with its floor-to-ceiling windows. Take time out from exercise to admire the great views. If needed a personal trainer can give you a one to one session.

The hotel offers a Spa by Clarins equipped with a musical indoor pool, two saunas and a hammam, together with six beauty treatment booths offering guests a unique experience into the warm and sensual waters of the Mediterranean.
